Piezo positioners and nanopositioning scanning stages are fundamental tools for modern high-resolution microscope applications. Their fast response, short settling times and sub-atomic resolution allow researchers to create higher-quality images in less time.

In addition to the well known PInano® XY, XYZ, flexure-guided microscope stages, PI provides the largest selection fast objective lens positioners (Z-motors), and Z-stages (slide-scanners, well-plate scanners, sample scanners) for for deconvolution and 3D imaging (Z-stack acquisition) and fast focussing applications.

PInano® XY and XYZ stages now come in three versions: low-cost (piezoresistive feedback), high stability (capacitive feedback) and high-speed (direct drive, for tracking applications).

PI's piezo-actuated Z-scanners typically achieve 10 times higher focusing speed & precision than classical motorized drives. Controllers come with a USB, RS-232 and TCP/IP digital interface as well as high-bandwidth analog interface, for extremely fast response and compatibility with all major image acquisition packages.
