V-102.2L Scanning System: XY-Stage and Digital Controller
The V-102 Voice-Coil Scanning and Positioning system is designed for applications where small samples have positioned or scanned with high velocity and high resolution. It provides much better responsivness than micropositioners with conventional screw drives. The mechanics (X or XY stage) are driven by an integrated non-contact, zero-friction voice-coil actuator. Scan velocities up to 200 mm/sec over a range of 5 mm are feasible.

The stages are equipped with integrated LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) displacement sensors. They are driven by a digital servo controller with IEEE 488, RS-232 and analog interfaces (click here for V-106 Voice-Coil System with PC-plug-in-board controller).
A mounting plate and operating software are included in the system.
