PI offers DC servo motor controllers to operate all motorized micropositioners found in the "Micropositioners" section of this catalog. Two models are available, the C-842 PC Plug-In Board (2 and 4 axes) and the C-844 Four Axis Rack Mount Controller providing fast RS-232 and IEEE 488 communication. Both controllers come with on-board, low noise linear power amplifiers to directly drive DC motor / gearhead equipped PI micropositioners. The C-839 DC Servo Power Amplifier (click here) is available to operate fast, direct drive micropositioners. Series M-511, M-521 and M-531 translation stages (see "Micropositioners" section) feature integrated PWM power amplifiers that can be driven by the PWM outputs of the motor controllers.
