When PI ran out of space in "old" factory in 2000, trailers were added to make more space for R&D and manufacturing (Jan. 2000)

In addition, a completely new factory building was planned.   Ground breaking was in November 2000 and only 8 months later the manufacturing department moved in.

New PI Headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany: As of October 2001:  7,000 sqm (75,000 sqft) manufacturing  5,5000 sqm (59,000 sqft) R&D, management)  4, 000 sqm ( 43 000 sqft) underground parking If more space is required we can add: 14, 000 sqm (150,000 sqft) manufacturing  8,000 sqm (85,000 sqft) underground parking
